CITIC SEC (06030.HK) and other Chinese brokers are once again raising the salaries of junior bankers in Hong Kong to improve retention rates and address the surge in trading volume, Bloomberg quoted insiders as saying.

CITIC SEC is increasing the salaries at its Hong Kong subsidiary, CLSA, lifting the monthly salary for some junior associates by 15-30% to approximately $75,000 to $80,000, according to insiders. One insider said that the salary hike does not apply to all employees.
