According to CLSA, SUNNY OPTICAL held an investor day where management said that, despite stable smartphone shipments, the demand for high-end models drove growth. It is expected that the global procurement value of camera modules will increase by 7.1% YoY this year. The company anticipated that shipments of glass-plastic hybrid lenses will surge by over 4x YoY to meet the optical upgrade needs of periscope lens and miniaturized/ultra-thin main cameras.
