Liquidity in the Hong Kong financial market remained abundant, with Hong Kong stocks' turnover rising YTD, BOCI released a research report saying. As of 18 June 2025, the average daily turnover reached $240.1 billion, significantly higher than $110.8 billion in the same period last year and $131.8 billion for the entire 2024. The HSTECH has spiked by 16.7% YTD. Investment behavior data YTD shows that southbound investors are focusing on internet, telecom, semiconductor and auto manufacturing industries. The broker recommended investors to pay close attention to some actively traded stocks for southbound trading, including BABA-W (09988.HK), MEITUAN-W (03690.HK), CHINA MOBILE (00941.HK), TENCENT (00700.HK), SMIC (00981.HK) and LI AUTO-W (02015.HK).
