In 2024, over 60,000 urban renewal projects with a completed investment of around RMB2.9 trillion were implemented across China. The comprehensive results of which were gradually unfolding. China is continuously innovating and diversifying urban renewal investment and financing mechanisms, according to officials from China's Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development (MOHURD). Currently, urban renewal funds have been established in 28 cities with a total capital scale of RMB455 billion.
