The HSI started 157 pts lower but then revived to close up 255 pts or 1.2% at 20,823 at midday. The HSCEI gained 111 pts or 1.5% to 7,478. The HSTECH added 90 pts or 2% to 4,622. The total market turnover for the half day was $83.19 billion. Brokers boomed impressively, with CSC (06066.HK) up 10.5%, CGS (06881.HK) and CICC (03908.HK) up 7.4% and 6.5%, HTSC (06886.HK), GF SEC (01776.HK) and CITIC SEC (06030.HK) up more than 5%. Chinese insurers elevated, with NCI (01336.HK) and PICC GROUP (01339.HK) up more than 5%, and CHINA LIFE (02628.HK) up 4.3%, ZA ONLINE (06060.HK), CHINA TAIPING (00966.HK) and PING AN (02318.HK) up more than 3%. Semiconductor stocks SMIC (00981.HK) and HUA HONG SEMI (01347.HK) swelled 6.8% and 5.9%. Mobile phone component stocks advanced, with COWELL (01415.HK) and SUNNY OPTICAL (02382.HK) up 12.4% and 9%, Q TECH (01478.HK) up 6.8%, BYD ELECTRONIC (00285.HK) and AAC TECH (02018.HK) up more than 3%. As to other techs, KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK) leaped 6.7%. BABA-W (09988.HK), BIDU-SW (09888.HK), XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) and BILIBILI-W (09626.HK) gained 1.5%-1.8%.
