CN Self-Driving Tech Startup DeepRoute.ai Raises US$100M to Speed up Capturing CN Mkt: Report

Reuters cited DeepRoute.ai, a Chinese startup that develops self-driving technology, as saying that it had raised US$100 million from a Chinese automaker with an aim to outpace Tesla (TSLA.US) in the large-scale promotion of its driver assistance system in China. Currently, DeepRoute.ai's backers include BABA-W (09988.HK).

DeepRoute.ai CEO Maxwell Zhou told Reuters that around 20,000 vehicles in mainland China are currently equipped with DeepRoute.ai's driver assistance system, with expectations to reach 200,000 vehicles by the end of 2025.
